Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt

A creative genius who has given to the world a new musical instrument called Mohan Veena, Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt belongs to that elite body of musicians which traces its origin to the Moughal emperor Akbar's court musician Tansen. He has been the foremost disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar. He not only created Mohan Veena by rechristening guitar but also passionately established it in the mainstream of Indian Classical Music scenario and mesmerized the world with his pristine pure, delicate yet fiery music. Pt. Vishwamohan with his sheer virtuosity and innovative creativity has been conferred the highest music award of the world, the Grammy Award. And along with it he has not only won the hearts of audiences throughout India but worldwide.
