Recreated in the mid-2Oth century by a dedicated band of dancers, musicians, theatre artistes, writers and composers, Odissi, the lyrical lost art of temple dancers was the exquisite child of modern India. Its shimmering solos by a long line of some of India's loveliest dancers are now part of urban cultural legend.
