This DVD is a compilation of mellifluous pieces by Ustad Asad Ali Khan, the last well-known practitioner of the demanding art of playing the ancient Indian flute, Rudraveena. He is also the last virtuoso of the Khandar Bani, a stream of the ancient song form, Dhrupad. It takes its name from the weapon 'khanda' or medieval Rajasthani pike.
